Are We Making Real Progress Toward Net-Zero Emissions?

2024 has so far been defined by politics. Globally, voters from across 76 countries representing a combined population of around 49% of the world’s population have held or will be holding national elections, the results of which, for many, will prove consequential for years to come on the pace and success of the energy transition. To help investors continue navigating the complex implications over the next 12 months and beyond, this session will focus on the state of decarbonisation and how to identify transition winners to reduce real world emissions.

Insurance ready investment strategies and engaging with insurers on responsible investment

If you choose insurance as your end-game, an insurance ready investment strategy will help to stabilise the economics of your intended buy-in transaction.  This session will explore the key drivers of insurer pricing, and changes to investment strategies that should be considered if you are targeting an insurance transaction.  It will also provide an update on insurers’ progress in incorporating ESG into their investment philosophy and processes, and some thoughts on how Trustees can engage with insurers further on this area.
