A tale of two EMs: core and frontier markets
The last few years have seen the emergence of a truly bifurcated EM universe, consisting of the higher-rated core EM countries and the lower-rated frontier economies. Both have very different attributes and will likely navigate any challenges ahead in very different ways. This presentation will cover where pockets of opportunity can be found across the EMD universe and why an active approach makes sense.

Infrastructure & European Transformation: The Role Of Private Capital In Transitioning Europe’s Economy
Infrastructure has continued to perform well as an asset class throughout recent years of market volatility, in particular absorbing the higher rate environment without a significant repricing of assets thanks to strong cash generation. In light of this investors continue to increase their allocation to the market, and as rates begin to come down there will be a recovery in the fundraising and transaction markets. In this environment, the European midmarket opportunity is compelling from a returns, value and diversification perspective, as well as giving access to major thematic trends such as decarbonisation, digitalisation and demographic change. Given the need for Europe to remain globally competitive, we view the European policy landscape for infrastructure investors as the most attractive given the stable policy environment and connection between supply-side and demand-side initiatives.

Asset Backed Securities
Asset backed-securities (“ABS”) are bonds (“securities”) that are covered (“backed”) by a specific pool of underlying loans (“assets”). There are various types of ABS, covered by different types of loans, for example residential mortgages (RMBS) or car loans (Auto ABS). We will explain what you need to know about the European ABS market, what has happened in the last few years, what the outlook is and why so many investors in Europe are buying it.
