Laura Hillis
Sustainable finance expert
The Church of England Pensions Board
Laura is a sustainable finance expert with over 15 years of experience working in financial institutions, largely focused on climate and environmental issues. She previously led Climate Action 100+ in Australia at the Investor Group on Climate Change, and served on its Global Steering Committee. Laura currently oversees stewardship, climate and biodiversity initiatives for the Church of England Pensions Board, a £3.2 billion pension fund which is a leader in ethical and responsible investment. She also co-chairs the Institutional Investor Group on Climate Change’s corporate programme.
Laura holds degrees from the University of Melbourne and Queensland University of Technology and is studying a Master of Sustainability Leadership at the University of Cambridge where her research is focused on mobilising greater capital from institutional investors into climate finance.
