Munro is a Partner at PwC Ireland and qualified as an actuary in 2000. Munro is a member of the Pensions Council, a body that was set up to advise the Minister for Social Protection on matters relating to policy on pensions, to represent and protect the consumer interest and help to ensure that the system has a far stronger consumer focus.
Munro supports a range of defined benefit, defined contribution and individual pension arrangements, and his focus is on action-oriented advice, that seeks to deliver better outcomes for stakeholders, in a risk-controlled manner. Working with the team in PwC, Munro has spent significant time supporting employers and trustees navigate the change in regulations across the Irish pensions industry, with a specialism around assessing the implications of a move to a Master Trust and how best to transition to a Master Trust pension arrangement.
