Stephan Meschenmoser
Economist

Stephan Meschenmoser, CFA, is an economist at the Occupational Pension Supervisory Commission (OPSC) in Switzerland. His role encompasses contributing to the supervision of investment foundations, the Swiss Guarantee Fund, and the Swiss Substitute Occupational Benefit Institution. He audits annual reports and investment guidelines of investment foundations while working to enhance supervisory practices. Stephan is also actively involved in developing risk-based supervision approaches and relevant tools to improve oversight efficiency.
Previously, Stephan served as Managing Director at BlackRock in the Official Institutions and Multi-Asset Group, where he acted as an outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO). In this capacity, he specialized in constructing tailored portfolios and providing strategic asset allocation solutions for institutional clients.
Stephan holds a diploma in economics from the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg and a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He is also a CFA charterholder.
