Founder and Managing Director

Trevor is the founder and Managing Director of Specialist Pension Services Ltd (SPS) and its conference organising division: SPS Conferences. In addition, he is a co-founding Executive Director of the European Pension Fund Investment Forum (EPFIF) and a Director of the Pension Investment Academy. In his position with SPS, the EPFIF and PIA, Trevor organises or oversees the programmes of about 75 UK and international events a year. These include the PIA seminars held in conjunction with CASS Business School in the City. Conferences and Seminars now cover every aspect of Pension Fund Administration and Investment Management for both DB and DC Pension Schemes. In 2019 Trevor organised and ran events from as far south as Cape Town in South Africa to as far north as Helsinki in Finland although the majority of events are held in the UK and The Netherlands. Trevor’s background is in pensions administration with both insurance companies and corporate pension schemes before starting Specialist Pension Services in November 1992. He organised the first SPS conference in 1993, with EPFIF Forums starting in 1994. Trevor took over and restarted the Pensions Investment Academy seminars in 2010. Trevor has a First-Class Honours Mathematics degree from the University of Newcastle and qualified many years ago as a a fellow of the Pensions Management Institute. He is involved with a number of charities including spending five years as Chair of the Hertfordshire Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre locating it into a brand new centre.
